The public generally assumes that all members of law enforcement wholeheartedly support the death penalty.

Reports from the Death Penalty Information Center dispute this claim as nationally, police chiefs rank the death penalty as the least effective priority for fighting crime.

NC Retired Police Chief Gerald Galloway joined Talk Radio 990 WEEB to discuss his support for replacing the NC death penalty with life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
